For the more active holidaymaker why not spend time at the Loch Insh and Loch Morlich centres where you can hire sailing boats and windsurfers? The neighbouring village of Newtonmore offers fantastic opportunities to see the fabulous countryside on Highland ponies and for golfers the Kingussie 18 hole course is ideal for players of all standards. After you fill a bath just over your legs, it's a battle with cold water all night amd waiting an hour between trying to fill the bath for 2 or more people in the property can become a bit of a hassle. The cleaniness & facilities in cottage were second to none, all in all we had a good stay at Aultmore.
