A very well-presented terraced cottage ideally situated in the pretty Highland village of Kingussie in the stunning Cairngorms National Park. This bright Kingussie cottage is ideal for a small family or group of friends who want a convenient and comfortable base providing easy access to the wonderful outdoor pursuits and amazing scenery that is available in the Cairngorms National Park. With accommodation over two floors, this cottage in Kingussie offers three bedrooms, including one on the ground floor. The spacious sitting room has a welcoming multi-fuel stove ensuring warmth and comfort in the cooler months. The kitchen in this Highland cottage is very well-equipped and provides easy access to the private rear garden with its pretty seating areas offering spectacular mountain views, an ideal place for a morning coffee, barbecue or pre-dinner glass of wine!

Kingussie is a lively village situated just beside the River Spey and the area is an angler’s paradise, with permits available locally. For the more active holidaymaker why not spend time at the Loch Insh and Loch Morlich centres where you can hire sailing boats and windsurfers? The neighbouring village of Newtonmore offers fantastic opportunities to see the fabulous countryside on Highland ponies and for golfers the Kingussie 18 hole course is ideal for players of all standards.     The heating is a bit tricky to navigate but fine once sorted, the fire is great. We really enjoyed our stay and is a great location.

    Very steep steps to a garden area as stated within the listing. There was no parking with the property, but we never struggled to park in a lay-by very close by. The property was difficult to heat (we stayed in November) but we found that taking a small heater out of an unused bedroom to accompany the log fire in the living room was perfect. Having seen previous comments regarding hot water, we, as a couple, did not have any issue really but the water tank was small so maybe for a larger group it would be a different story. We made use of the washing machine during our stay but found difficulty in trying to dry clothes indoors. There was one tiny maiden and what I'd guess was a bigger, but broken, wooden maiden.

    The property is in a great location and served as a good base for hiking and trips further afield by train. The facilities in the property are okay. The hot water system takes a bit of getting used to - there were only two of us and we had to be careful not to use too much hot water. There wasn’t much information on arrival - a welcome pack would have been useful. All-in-all, we thought it was good value for money.
