For nature lovers, a walk along the coastline towards Mares Braids Waterfall (5 miles) reveals barnacle geese, natterjack toads and swirling flocks of starlings as you pass through the RSPB Mersehead Nature Reserve (4 miles). A little further afield, Bainloch Deer Park (6.5 miles) provides even more wildlife spotting opportunities, including the chance to see roe deer.
