This superb retreat in a peaceful rural setting is the ideal base for couples or friend groups to explore some of Scotland’s most famous attractions. The beautiful property sleeps four guests and is perfect for keen golfers; it overlooks the course at Tulliallan , and is just 1.5 miles from the small town of Kincardine on the River Forth. Historic Stirling is within 15 miles and boasts a majestic castle, the spectacular horse head sculptures known as The Kelpies, and lovely woodland walks.

This lovely retreat has a splendid, vaulted oak ceiling and beams throughout, with the outside wall consisting entirely of glass. The result is a wonderfully light and airy space that seems to merge with the trees and grass outside. Well-crafted wooden dining furniture and a breakfast bar echo the natural materials used in the roof above.

The spacious open-plan living space features a lovingly restored original stone wall. This houses the cosy wood burner, and there is also underfloor heating to keep you snug on frosty days. Sumptuous sofas with cushions and sheepskin throws are an irresistible invitation to snuggle up, relax and admire the country view. The large dining table seats up to eight guests, while the dramatic streamlined kitchen has all a keen cook could desire. There are two attractive bedrooms: one king-size and one double. Both have beautiful wooden beams and are simply but tastefully furnished.

A glass door from the kitchen area leads to the outside decked patio, with garden furniture. This is a lovely spot to sit and enjoy that first morning cup of tea or coffee.
