About this property

This welcoming, mid-terrace cottage rests in the quaint town of Kincardine on the north shore of the Firth of Forth. Well-equipped throughout, Allardyce is a lovely base for families to call home whilst exploring Fife and the cities of Stirling and Edinburgh. Look forward to unwinding within the sitting room, resting on the plush sofas as you reminisce over the day’s activities, or tune into the Smart TV and enjoy some on-demand entertainment. Carry the conversation into the kitchen where you can take advantage of many appliances to whip up a delicious feast, including an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and even a washing machine and tumble dryer, so you won’t have to pack your whole wardrobe. As the night rolls in, head upstairs and make yourself at home within either of the bedrooms, offering a double with en-suite shower room and a twin, accommodating perfectly for a family. Each room has been neutrally furnished, boasting grey carpets and matching grey bed linen, while the bathroom offers a lovely spot to prepare for the day. To the exterior of Allardyce is an enclosed garden, complete with patio furniture from where you can enjoy an afternoon snack in the sunshine, or make your way into the town centre and sample some pub grub or a sweet café treat. There are also two convenience stores if you’d prefer cooking yourself! Venture into the city of Stirling, where you can lose yourself in rich local history at landmarks such as the grand 12th Century Stirling Castle, the famous Unicorn statue or the Boer War Memorial. Enjoy a boat trip on the Union Canal, running from Falkirk to Edinburgh and see the iconic Falkirk Wheel as it lifts canal boats up and over onto the other side of the canal. Falkirk is just 5 miles away and also hosts the famous Kelpies, where you can marvel at the 30m high equine sculptures. The cottage is also well-positioned for enjoying the delights of Edinburgh and Glasgow, accessible within an hour’s drive. Stay at Allardyce for a memorable trip to Fife with your loved ones.

The town of Kincardine lies on the banks of the River Forth in the west of Fife. Hosting a number of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, the town offers good amenities for holidaymakers. The town gained its reputation for shipbuilding many years ago and the sweeping Kincardine Bridge was once the longest swing bridge in Europe. The nearby cities of Stirling and Edinburgh offer a wealth of attractions and amenities, and a little further afield lies Glasgow, famed for its Victorian and art nouveau architecture.
