About this Bed and Breakfast

Welcome to Hawthorn Bed and Breakfast in Benderloch. Situated on twenty acres of croft land near Oban, our well appointed choice of guest rooms are ideal for couples, walkers and other outdoor enthusiasts exploring the beautiful West Coast of Scotland. Start your day off with one of our delicious locally sourced cooked breakfasts and enjoy a great range of facilities including a guest lounge, onsite parking and Wi-Fi. 

Bedrooms / Bathrooms

We have a comfortable double room at the rear of the property which has a small lounge attached and an ensuite bathroom with power shower and overhead drencher. Our twin room is set at the front of the property and this accommodation also has the added benefit of a small lounge. Other amenities in this room include an ensuite bathroom with power shower. Our final double room looks out over the countryside to the front of the property and has a separate bathroom with corner bath.

All guest rooms are well equipped with fluffy towels, a flat screen TV, DVD player, hair dryer and tea/ coffee making facilities.

Breakfast

A delicious breakfast is served in our cosy dining room with items including scrambled egg with Scottish smoked salmon on toast with bacon and tomato, cereals, fresh fruit, home made preserves, brown bread, tea and coffee. 

We can also provide home cooked evening meals by arrangement or head next door to our licensed restaurant which is leased to an award winning chef.

Other Facilities

We have a newly refurbished guest lounge with leather sofas, gas fire, a TV and DVD player. There is also a telephone and Wi-Fi service. Parking can also be found onsite and we have ironing facilities for your use.

Undercover storage for bikes, kayaks and motorbikes can be requested at the time of room booking.

Around and About

Our bed and breakfast is set less than a mile from the amenities of Benderloch Village and just a few minutes walk from the sandy Tralee Beach. Ferry services from Oban can be found eight miles away and our B&B is also ideal for exploring Lismore, Kererra and the Slate Islands of Luing, Seil, Easdale.

Directions

From Glasgow, take the A82 till you come to Tyndrum then onto A85 towards Oban until you come to Connel (about 5 miles before Oban).

At Connel take the left hand-turn onto the A828 towards Fort William, which swings around and over Connel Bridge.

Continue for 3 miles to Benderloch through the village past the shop and church.

Take the first road on your left signposted South Shian.

Hawthorn Cottages Bed & Breakfast is the third house on the right.
