Guests say

Darach cottage is highly praised for its cleanliness, stunning location, and comfort. Guests appreciate the friendly and helpful hosts, John and Sue, and the property's tranquil setting. The cottage is well-equipped and offers beautiful views, with a secure paddock for dogs. It serves as an excellent base for exploring the west coast of Scotland and enjoying local walks.

Guests consistently mention the spotless condition of the cottage, highlighting its outstanding cleanliness. One review mentioned the need for a better clean, but this seems to be an isolated opinion.

The location is frequently described as beautiful and peaceful, with fabulous coastal views and proximity to local attractions. However, a few guests found it a bit remote, and the access track was noted as steep and stony.

Many reviews note the cottage's comfort, mentioning it as cosy, warm, and well-fitted. The presence of a large paddock for dogs and a lovely bath adds to the comfort level.

The cottage is praised for being well-equipped and having everything needed for a stay. Some guests mentioned the access track as a concern, and one review suggested the furniture could be updated.

While guests express gratitude for the hosts' friendliness and helpfulness, there are no specific mentions of gifts. Therefore, it is not possible to assess the thoughtfulness based on gifts, and this score is set to null.

Be aware that the access to the site is up a steep stoney track.

The only adverse comment I would have would be about the access track which was a bit scary.

  • Elisabeth

We had a lovely time and our dog enjoyed running round the paddock. Friendly and helpful owners, thank you.
