Jorvik - Woodsmill Quay at Queen’s Staithe is in the heart of York; it was originally built in the 19th century and used as a timber mill. York has been a key trading port since Roman times and the River Ouse remained tidal until the construction of Naburn Locks in the 18th century. Queen’s Staithe played a prominent role in the commercial development of York and it is still a working quay today. The property will be decorated for those staying during the festive season.
During 2000, Jorvik - Woodsmill Quay was converted into luxury apartments offering all of York’s world-famous sights and activities right on the doorstep. Apartment requires new fridge just for your information freezer works

Although the host was unaware of our booking we were made to feel welcome and did not have to wait too long for property to be ready for us. There was sone confusion with the check in proces. The hosts mesages did not convey that you MUST call days ahead to arrange check in time and not to call on the day. We had a lovely stay in this beautiful apartment which was very comfortable and so conveniently located, thank you.
