Meadowcroft is a well-received cottage in a picturesque village, praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and prime location. Guests appreciate the homely feel, modern amenities, and the local pub's offerings. The garden and peaceful surroundings add to the charm, though some suggest improvements in outdoor seating and facilities information.
Guests consistently mention the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as 'lovely and clean' and 'extremely clean', indicating high standards of hygiene and upkeep.
The location is frequently highlighted as fantastic, with the cottage being in a 'beautiful village' and 'within 30 minutes drive of just about everywhere on the moors', suggesting a convenient and desirable setting.
Comfort is a strong point, with guests finding the beds 'extremely comfortable' and the cottage 'very warm & cosy'. However, one mention of a lack of upstairs toilet for elderly guests slightly impacts the score.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with modern appliances and a well-equipped kitchen. However, points are deducted for the mentioned need for a washing machine for longer stays and a minor issue with the shower hose.
While the owners' responsiveness and a gift left for guests indicate thoughtfulness, there are not enough reviews mentioning such gestures to guarantee this as a consistent experience, thus the score is set to null.

The cottage was excellent. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The only drawback as pensioners was having to go downstairs in the night for the toilet.

We had a fantastic time, nice walks and a bus that runs to Pickering and Helmsley.

The cottage was lovely and the log burner made it cozy for late evening as. Plenty of nice local pubs for a meal in the evening. Lovely area to explore. We will definitely return.
