Porthole Cottage, on three levels in a small yard next to Church Street a walk away from a Council car park, is situated in the coastal town of Whitby close to restaurants, pubs and shops. Whitby has a lovely beach, ruins of an historic Abbey, a bustling harbour and festivals and fairs all the year.

We had an excellent holiday in whitby. The cottage couldn't have been in a better location as it was so central. However it was lovely and quiet and the courtyard was really nice to sit out in. The neighbours were all very friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable especially given the central location. We'd definitely come back!

Staff always very helpful and accommodating.

The patio area was a bonus, the half door gave peace of mind that the dog could not get out while being able to have the top half open. Very quiet considering in the centre. nice neighbours. very comfortable beds/mattresses, very important.
