With beautiful landscaped grounds and off-road parking, the cottage is ideal for a break, whether you relax in the country, or venture out to explore North Yorkshire. Step into the hallway and kick off your shoes before making your way into the open-plan living space where everything you need for a fantastic self-catering holiday rests. The kitchen area provides you with a microwave and an electric oven and hob, so you can rustle up tasty meals to fuel your adventures. From here, eat at the dining table while you plan out your day, or enjoy an evening glass of wine with a delicious dinner. After a day of exploring, sink into the sofa to watch a film on the TV while the electric fire warms the space. When sleep calls, head into the bedroom, home to two single beds and plenty of storage to unpack your belongings, and rest your head for the night. Wake up in the morning with a refreshing shower and then make a coffee to enjoy outside in the shared garden. Glaisdale is a tranquil village on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, near the Esk Valley. The settlement contains a post office, a butcher (famous for his pork pies) and a hotel/pub with restaurant. Whitby and the shore are 9 miles away, as are the charming moorland villages of Hutton-le-Hole, Lastingham and Thornton Dale, as well as the market town of Pickering. For something a little more sedate, visit Saltburn by the Sea, a beautiful Victorian beach resort. The North York Moors Railway ends at Grosmont, where you can take a steam train trip amid beautiful moorland landscape.

We found eskdale cottage to be very comfortable and clean, ideal spot for exploring the area, yes a bit off the beaten track down a very narrow road but expected that knowing Yorkshire, only 10 miles from Whitby and easy to get to other places, countryside amazing, will definitely recommend it,
