The spacious outside patio area is ideal for relaxing with a glass of wine or having a family BBQ on a summers evening.

The area is also ideal for walkers, dog owners and cyclists with many pathways and cycle tracks close by including an unused railway line situated close by that runs from Whitby to Scarborough that is safe for cyclists of all ages and abilities. Whitby itself has so much character and history and is famous for its connections with the 18th century explorer and voyager Captain James Cook who set sail in the Bark Endeavour from Whitby and also the historic Abbey that you can visit after climbing the famous 199 steps. You can walk along the cobbled streets with their individual quaint shops, tea rooms and excellent fish restaurants, or just have a leisurely stroll on the long sandy beach stretching to the lovely coastal resort of Sandsend. The beautiful villages of Robin Hoods Bay, Runswick Bay and Staithes are within 10 miles of the property and are well worth a visit. You can take the North Yorkshire Moors steam train to the market town of Pickering stopping at Grosmont (where the Hogsmead station in Harry Potter was filmed) and Goathland (otherwise known as Aidensfield, where the series Heartbeat was filmed). Whatever you decide to do on holiday this is a great base all year round to discover this beautiful part of the world.Shop 100 yards, pub ½ mile and restaurant 1 mile.
