The Delaunay is a beautiful Victorian townhouse, nestled within a quaint, peaceful street in the centre of Whitby. It homes a spacious interior, coupled with impressive original features to create the perfect family and friends getaway to the Yorkshire coast. The ground floor boasts a fresh colour palette, large sash windows and high ceilings, oozing luxury at every step. Here, you will find a comfortable sitting room, posing seating for all guests and a charming living flame fireplace. There are three sofas, of which two are sofa beds. Next is the elegant dining room, hosting a bright atmosphere and seating for sixteen guests. The well equipped kitchen houses all the necessities required to cook tasty meals for a dinner party. Outside you will find the charming patio garden, lined with cypress trees and pot plants, plus an outdoor seating area. Follow the carpeted stairs up to a luxurious family bathroom, hosting a shower over bath, basin and WC, as well as a small utility room with a washing machine and dryer. Up a couple of steps are the well-appointed bedrooms, each boasting elegant interior design with carefully selected furniture to match. Two bedrooms comprise of two king-size doubles, one has an additional sofa bed, plus a single bedroom with a large single bed. Located on the second floor are two further bedrooms, one has a king-size bed, the other a super king-size zip and link bed plus a large single, and an additional single bed is available if required, along with a luxury shower room. Finally, the loft conversion features a spacious bedroom equipped with a double bed and a sofa bed, this room easily converts into a second lounge space, and poses a skylight window to fill the room with natural light and provide stunning views of Whitby and the North York Moors. Outside, guests will have access to an idyllic private patio area, suitable for enjoying summer evenings outside. The cottage is centrally located meaning that you will have access to a number of amenities, with the local pub and the closest shop situated just a 1 minute walk away. For days out whilst staying at the property, be sure to explore the famous Whitby Abbey, a ruined castle which gave Bram Stoker his inspiration for the Dracula. Whitby also plays host to a beautiful sandy beach where you take a boat trip into the bay and along the spectacular Yorkshire coastline, with possible sightings of whales. In this charming seaside town you will also find an abundance of shops, cafes, restaurants and museums to explore, with everything to suit the needs of all the staying guests. The Delaunay is a grand property, perfectly located for a getaway to Whitby.

The seaside town of Whitby lies in North Yorkshire, on the East cliff, overlooking the North Sea. It is a charming location, filled with independent shops, cafes and restaurants. You will also find Whitby Abbey, which is said to have given Bram Stoker inspiration for Dracula. There is also a sandy beach with a charming pier, where you can eat your fish and chips or play in the arcades.
