About this property

A fabulous, modern ground floor apartment in a quiet area, in the centre of Whitby, a popular and historic port on the North Yorkshire coastline.

With light and spacious accommodation, this immaculate apartment is ideal for families and friends to enjoy a traditional seaside holiday and explore the stunning scenery of the North York Moors National Park.

The private entrance to the apartment is from the rear, where there is off road parking for one car, a rare find in the centre of Whitby.

The rooms are furnished and decorated in a contemporary style, with a generous-sized open plan living area, which incorporates a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area in one corner and comfortable, quality sofas. Patio doors allow plenty of light into this lovely sociable area, which open up to a small sitting area with two fold up chairs so you can sit and soak up the sunshine. Finished to a high standard throughout, there are two stylish bedrooms, a modern family bathroom and excellent facilities including Sky TV and WiFi. A couple of minutes’ walk brings you to the local pub and shop, whilst just a five minute walk takes you down to the harbour and all the amenities of this quaint seaside town. Stroll around the quirky, narrow streets and cobbled market place, or climb the 199 steps up to Whitby Abbey, with its interesting visitors centre. There are an abundance of restaurants, tea rooms, pubs and cocktail bars to entice you and the renowned fish and chips are a must! The long, sandy beaches are a hit with everyone, with donkey rides, coloured beach huts and deck chairs available to hire for a relaxing day on the sand. The surrounding area has many attractions to offer, including a nostalgic steam train ride from Grosmont to Pickering, the Danby Moors Visitors Centre and the charming coastal villages of Robin Hood's Bay and Staithes. A hidden gem of an apartment, perfect for a wonderful family holiday.

Situated at the mouth of the River Esk, Whitby is an ancient fishing port steeped in history. The ruin of St Hilda's Abbey is high on Whitby's East Cliff and looks down on narrow streets and alleyways. From the old town, the parish church of St Mary, also on East Cliff, has 199 steps leading to it and the churchyard was one of the inspirations for Bram Stoker's Dracula. Other attractions in Whitby include the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, Victorian Jet Works and The Dracula Experience. There are year-round events at Whitby Pavilion Complex and there is a blue flag beach and spectacular cliffs and bays to explore. Whitby is in a beautiful region and offers visitors a great deal of variety for a memorable holiday any time of year.
