Ruswarp village has excellent facilities, including a renowned butcher's, a local inn serving real ales and food and a village shop. Steam trains regularly pass by in the summer months and a public footpath offers a pleasant walk into Whitby, with its famous abbey, good beaches and historic harbour. Why not climb the 199 steps up to St. Mary's church and take an invigorating cliff top walk, or explore the quaint, narrow streets and cobbled market place? With the spectacular scenery of the North York Moors close by and the dramatic coastline to discover, this Ruswarp cottage provides an ideal base.

Just two miles inland from the seaside resort of Whitby and the Yorkshire Coast is the quiet little North York Moors village of Ruswarp. As well as a nine-hole golf course, this quaint little place also enjoys the use of a village pub and shop as well as both sea and river fishing facilities. The river which runs through town provides excellent opportunities for a boat ride, or just a few minutes away is the local miniature steam railway. With so much to do in the area, this is an excellent base for those looking to enjoy the Yorkshire Coast.
