Snaptrip says

Cherry Cottage in Whitby is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and superb location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, cosy decor, and secure garden, ideal for dogs. The local pub offers a warm welcome and delicious food. Some guests mention parking challenges and the downstairs bathroom, but these are minor compared to the many positives, including the beautiful views and proximity to local attractions.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests frequently noting it is well-maintained and spotless. There was a single mention of dog hairs, suggesting a minor oversight, but overall, the property is consistently described as clean.

The location is celebrated for its stunning views, proximity to Whitby, and easy access to local attractions. The presence of a friendly local pub adds to the appeal. Parking is noted as tricky for some, but this does not significantly detract from the location's overall charm.

Comfort is a strong point, with guests finding the cottage cosy and the beds comfy. However, a few guests found the bed too firm and the downstairs bathroom inconvenient, which slightly affects the comfort score.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and a lovely garden. Some guests suggest improvements such as an extractor fan in the kitchen and mention the tight parking space. The need for clearer instructions for heating and hot water is also noted.

While many reviews express satisfaction with the cottage's amenities and decor, there is no specific mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts. Therefore, a score cannot be given for thoughtfulness.

Beautiful views out the back, would have been lovely in the summer to sit out as it is so peaceful and ideal for our child and the dogs. Thank you again for letting us bring both of our girls as they are part of our family too! It was lovely and clean on our arrival, we hope that we left it as clean as when we arrived. The only downside is the two chairs in the living room. They have a tendency to tip up unawares as our son found out and the floor is quite unforgiving!! Apart from that it is a beautiful 10 out of 10 cottage, we can't thank you enough

... the downstairs bathroom should be in the description as them trips to the loo during the night are a pain and could be problematic for elderly. Also half a toilet roll, no fuel or fire lighters for log burner, and un lockable inner porch door, just needs a bolt on it. These small things that would make it perfect, it was our 2nd time there and would go again ,because we can deal with the downstairs bathroom because all the plusses out weigh the few negatives

I wasn't a fan of the swivel chairs in the lounge! The worst thing about the cottage is the parking space at the front, its so tight to get in and out of, some people would really struggle.
