Cherry Cottage in Whitby is highly praised for its comfort, cleanliness, and excellent location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, secure garden, and proximity to local attractions. The cottage's decor and high-quality furnishings are frequently mentioned, alongside the convenience of a nearby friendly pub with good food. Some guests noted parking challenges for larger vehicles and the downstairs bathroom, but these were minor compared to the overall positive experience.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found Cherry Cottage to be immaculate and beautifully clean, with high-quality fittings. However, a few guests mentioned finding dog hairs and dust, suggesting occasional lapses in thoroughness.

The cottage's location is consistently lauded for its stunning views, peaceful village setting, and easy access to Whitby and North Yorkshire's attractions. The local pub's proximity is a bonus, contributing to the high score.

Guests frequently describe the cottage as cosy, comfortable, and a home from home, with special mentions of comfy beds and underfloor heating. The firmness of the bed and the downstairs bathroom were minor discomforts for some.

Reviews highlight the well-equipped kitchen, generous garden, and overall high standard of the cottage's amenities. Criticisms include the tight parking space and the lack of an extractor fan, which slightly impacted the score.

While many guests were pleased with the cottage's offerings, there is insufficient information regarding specific thoughtful gestures such as gifts to accurately assess this category. Hence, the score is set to null.

Good quality decor and furnishings. Convenient parking space right in front and wonderful enclosed outdoor space which our dog loved to run around in. The previous residents had not picked up after their dog however so there was quite a lot of poo for us to clean up. The property was clean but very dusty - could have benefited from a flick round with a duster from the cleaner before we arrived. We had a fantastic holiday and I would thoroughly recommend the property. It is also in a great location. Aislaby is pretty and quiet and only a short distance away from all the amazing coastal and moorland towns and villages nearby - perfect for exploring. The Forge pub a couple of doors down is friendly and welcoming and does great food at reasonable prices. Thank you so much for a brilliant stay.

The location is in a nice quite village but handy for Whitby town centre as it is only 3-4 miles away. The only drawbacks were the downstairs toilet, as my husband found this difficult when he had to get up during the night (not great for people of age and disability). We found that the bed was very firm and lastly there was a tight, awkward space to park outside the cottage, although the landlady at the pub next door kindly offered a parking space there if we wanted it.
