On arrival at the lodge, park up in the off-road parking space and unload your baggage as you climb up the steps to the decking and inside your home-from-home. The open-plan living space boasts a light and airy feel; sit at the dining table and keep the designated chef company whilst they whip up something tasty, utilising a host of modern appliances including a gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and even a washing machine, so you can put your muddy clothes on a spin. After a filling feast round the dining table, settle down on the sofa beside the electric fire, finding the remote for the Smart TV and flicking through for a favourite show. The bedrooms at located at the other side of the lodge, consisting of a double and two twins, served by a shower room with walk-in shower enclosure. Step outside and enjoy a moment of peace from the decked area, whether it be with a rewarding drink or losing yourself in a good read, this is a lovely spot to soak up the evening sun. On site you’ll find plenty of superb facilities; you may stay upon the holiday park for the duration of your stay and make the most of the indoor heated swimming pool, dine at the restaurant or spend a fun-filled day at the adventure playground and crazy golf. For days away from the park, venture to the fascinating Scarborough Fair Collection and Vintage Transport Museum, brushing up on your history in this culture-rich exhibition. Go for a relaxing stroll around the impressive Italian Gardens just a short drive away, or pack up your seaside bag and head for Cayton Bay, where you’ll find a dog friendly beach along with Lucy’s shack where you can treat yourself to a homemade cake and cup of tea as your relish the Yorkshire coast. Continue exploring along the coast and you will reach the popular town of Whitby, home to a great choice of shops, pubs, restaurants, and cafés to fuel your excursions. There is also Filey to explore, boasting a beautiful beach, the fascinating Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park where you can meet tropical birds, meerkats and reptiles and the Filey Museum where you can brush up on the town’s history. Cayton is a village and civil parish of the popular seaside borough of Scarborough. Lovely year round, the village is within easy reach of local amenities and attractions, with Scarborough town centre just a few miles away. The village has links to World War II, with coastal eroded pillboxes being evident around the area and plenty of historic landmarks to discover. You will find a good selection of shops and pubs within the village, with further amenities available in nearby Scarborough.
