Outside, the small sunny garden is perfect for relaxing on after a busy day exploring the area. Pickering has excellent amenities including a good selection of pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and small shops, and you may wish to explore Pickering Castle, enjoy trout fishing or take a ride on the famous steam railway. Surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the moors, there are excellent walking, cycling and touring opportunities. Close by is Dalby Forest, with its high wire forest adventure course, cycling tracks for all abilities and cycle hire. This lovely cottage is ideally located for exploring the many attractive market towns, numerous museums and stately homes that can be found in the area, along with the coastal resorts of Scarborough and Whitby, which are within easy reach. This excellent holiday home offers something for everybody.

With its traditional shops, pubs and restaurants, the historic market town of Pickering not only offers a full range of amenities but also serves as the official gateway to the beautiful North York Moors National Park. The local area boasts some stunning scenery and Harry Potter fans can explore some of the magnificent locations used during the filming of the 'Philosopher's Stone', or enjoy a trip on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway. For those looking to see local life at its best, The Beck Isle Museum is well worth a visit and houses a unique collection of black and white photography. With rolling hills, valleys, rivers and abundant wildlife of the North York Moors, walkers and nature lovers will be spoiled for choice, whilst the cathedral city of York and the Heritage Coast are both within half an hour's drive.
