Pickering has excellent amenities including a good selection of pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and small shops, and you may wish to explore Pickering Castle, enjoy trout fishing or take a ride on the famous steam railway. Surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the moors, there are excellent walking, cycling and touring opportunities. Close by is Dalby Forest, with its high wire forest adventure course, cycling tracks for all abilities and cycle hire. This lovely cottage is ideally located for exploring the many attractive market towns, numerous museums and stately homes that can be found in the area, along with the coastal resorts of Scarborough and Whitby, which are within easy reach. This excellent holiday home offers something for everybody.
