Renovated throughout to a high standard in 2021, offering guests comfortable accommodation in a unique setting. With ground source underfloor heating, a fully equipped stylish grey shaker-style kitchen and set with dining table making a perfect social space. A central staircase divides the ground floor space and a cosy living room with a wood burner is a welcome place to come and relax. With stunning views from all the windows, it’s a perfect bolthole. Upstairs are two kingsize bedrooms, with comfortable beds set with crisp bed linen and en-suite shower rooms.
Accessed via a country lane, Deer Park Barn is set within its own grounds, and from its superb, elevated position command spectacular panoramic views over Swaledale. Outside you will find a patio area in front of the property with garden furniture to enjoy a meal al fresco or simply sit and admire the views.
Swaledale is a haven for guests who enjoy walking, cycling and rambling through the great outdoors. There is a multitude of established footpaths and challenging cycle routes that lead right from the door and will take guests on a journey through some of the most spectacular scenery that this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has to offer, and leads right through Swaledale, Wensleydale, Arkengarthdale and beyond. The popular market town of Reeth is only 3 miles away and offers many amenities including a weekly farmers market, local pubs, shops and tea rooms. Smaller villages and towns nearby include Gunnerside, Keld, Thwaite and Fremington. There are many excellent local pubs, restaurants and country inns which provide the perfect resting place, before, during or after a long walk or cycle. A little further afield but still within easy driving distance, there are many popular attractions to visit for all ages, including Castle Bolton, the Wensleydale Creamery and The Forbidden Corner. With a host of places to visit within a short drive, visit the Georgian town of Richmond, especially popular with families with many places to explore including Richmond Castle and riverside, the Georgian theatre, or the bustling market towns of Hawes or Leyburn. One of the best holiday cottage’s we have ever stayed in. Location is fairly isolated but Reeth is close by for anything you need. It was super spotless and well equipped. Two king size bedrooms with large showers for each of them. Just a lovely place to have a break.
