Guests say

Hall Garth Cottage is consistently praised for its cleanliness and prime location in a peaceful village, ideal for walking and enjoying the local pub. The modern amenities and rustic charm contribute to a comfortable stay, although some guests suggest the sofas and beds could be more comfortable. The property is well-equipped, but minor issues with maintenance and facilities like parking and toilet flush have been noted.

Guests unanimously commend the cottage for its exceptional cleanliness, with several noting it as one of the cleanest places they've stayed.

The location is highly appreciated for its seclusion, privacy, and proximity to walking trails and a village pub, despite some finding it initially confusing to find.

While the area's tranquility is praised for aiding rest, several guests mention that the firm beds and uncomfortable sofas detract from the overall comfort.

The cottage is well-equipped with modern luxuries and a good range of kitchen equipment. However, issues with the toilet and parking, as well as the absence of a vegetable peeler and a full-length mirror, have been pointed out.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the property owners, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

It might be a little small for a group of 4 adults but for the 2 of us and our little dog it’s perfect. The location is great for walking, the village pub is lovely and everything is so quiet and peaceful. The cottage is clean, warm, cosy and extremely well equipped. All it needs for me is a full length mirror but that’s just being picky. Can’t wait to return.

The property owners have made a good effort to combine rustic charm with modern style and luxuries. I can only assume that the owners are either meticulous cleaners or that the property has been recently redecorated, because it was absolutely immaculate. The property was confusing and difficult to find, but the upside of that was that it made the property very secluded and private, which I enjoyed very much. Often with these rural cottages you have to park far away from the property and lug all of your belongings to and from the car, but the property's gated driveway made this a pleasant exception. Sleeping wasn't too bad, since the area is so quiet, but the bed is quite firm. This, in fact, is the only aspect where I could recommend improvement - The bed would benefit from a mattress topper or entirely new replacement and the sofas are pretty hard too. All in all, this is a very enjoyable and well-stocked cottage and would seriously consider booking again if I return to the area.
