Guests say

Bridge End Cottage in Skipton offers stunning views, a well-equipped kitchen, and spacious living areas. Guests appreciate the traditional charm, log burners, and secure outdoor space. While road parking is busy, the location is praised for its proximity to local amenities and scenic walks. Some guests noted issues with cleanliness and maintenance, but overall experiences were positive.

Most guests found the cottage to be clean and well-presented, though one review mentioned it being dirty upon arrival with cobwebs and glass on the floor. This seems to be an isolated incident, but it does affect the overall cleanliness score.

The location is generally well-regarded for its beautiful views and proximity to Skipton and Settle, as well as local amenities and country walks. The busy road and parking situation are noted, but do not significantly detract from the location's appeal.

Guests have found the cottage comfortable, with a special mention of the log burners and the bath. The bunk bed was reported to be squeaky, which suggests a minor comfort issue for some.

Facilities are generally praised, especially the well-stocked kitchen and the log burners. However, there are comments about the need for maintenance, such as fixing the squeaky bunk bed and ensuring all areas are tidy before guest arrival.

There are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide a score for thoughtfulness.

Arrived and from the outside it looked gorgeous Went inside and everything changed. The cottage was dirty and in the twin room the beds had not been made and just left a mess. The place was full of cobwebs and we had to spend the first day cleaning and tidying. There was glass on the floor and the fire had not been cleaned out. Spoke to the owner who did nothing. Will never stay here again

We spent a long weekend at Bridge End and had a lovely time. The property was in just the right spot for easy access to Skipton and Settle for days out and then back to make an evening meal in well equipped and comfortable surroundings. Lovely log burners to keep us toasty warm and the bath was just perfect for a long soak - a lovely treat. Our little dog Buddy enjoyed the walk into and around Long Preston and I was happy the pleasant yard out the back was secure. Just wished we had longer to stay, so much else we wanted to explore.
