Resting with the nature-filled surrounding of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in the rural village of Horton-In-Ribblesdale is 3 South View, a delightful two-bedroom cottage. Well-positioned to explore the delights of North Yorkshire and paces away from a host of local amenities, the cottage offers four guests a homely dwelling, featuring a well-equipped kitchen, a private garden with access to a free-flowing stream, and inviting sitting room. Starting off your getaway in the kitchen/diner, housing all expected appliances to ease your self-catered stay; benefit from a washer/dryer and a dishwasher, handy for family breaks. Continue through to the sitting room, complete with plush seating, a multi-fuel stove, and a Smart TV with both Sky and Netflix, offering the ideal setting for a film night in. When sleep calls, head upstairs to two well-present bedrooms, including a king-size and a twin, before awakening to a refresh in the bathroom. Enjoy a stroll across the garden, to a patio adjoining the stream, before grabbing your walking boots and committing to the Three Peaks Walk, covering Pen-Y-Ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside. For cyclists, there is secure storage in a locked stone outbuilding complete with concrete enclosed metal tubing to which bikes can be padlocked. Continue through the national park, stopping off to climb Gaping Gill, tour the underground setting of Ingleborough Cave, or follow the Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail, perfect for bird spotting. Further attractions in the area include White Scar Cave, Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, and Ribblehead Viaduct, all breath-taking in their own rights, before venturing south towards Scaleber Force Waterfall, and Malham Cove, also recommended for outdoor enthusiasts. Book your next countryside break at 3 South View.

This charming Ribblesdale community is located inside a National Park and is home to two pubs, a fine Norman church, and many charming traditional Dales buildings. The breath-taking scenery provides the perfect setting for fell trekking, and the famous Three Peaks Walk, Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough offer some of the toughest hikes in the nation. The community is traversed by the renowned Settle-Carlisle Railway, which also goes through some of the nation's most breath-taking and inspiring highland landscapes. A steam train crossing across the top of the spectacular Ribblehead viaduct, which was finished in 1870, is an experience not to be missed.

We met the cleaner before leaving, what a lovely lady.. We will be back at some point. Best regards Keith and Loretta.

We had snow and very cold temperatures when we stayed but the cottage was lovely and warm with plenty of hot water at all times. Great to have a folder full of walking routes which we made the most of and the pub opposite was a bonus. Only small negative was that we didn't find the sofa very comfortable but that would not prevent us from booking again.

The owners have really thought about what would be useful for people coming on a walking ,cycling or general outdoors holiday. Plenty of room for boot storage and a place to hang wet coats. A comfortable place to come back to. We really liked the garden and were intrigued by the glowing pebbles. The folder of walks provided is very comprehensive and provided us with some ideas for the future using rail and bus. Also the owners were super helpful with regards to lost property.
