A very quirky but homely cottage run by owners, the lovely Silke & Kevin. The Schoolhouse is a bit rundown but then it is a grade ll listed building with a lot of history. The accomodation was comfortable (especially the sofa and bed) and has all you need for a relaxing break or a base to explore East Yorkshire. The is a WiFi but it did seem to be a bit off and on whilst we were there. It didn't spoil our holiday though. The room was a little cold on our first night (the weather having suddenly turned and there was a strong wind blowing) but Kevin sorted us out with an oil radiator and we were soon cosy. The accomodation is not luxurious but it's clean, comfortable and affordable. We self catered but Silke can provide cooked breakfasts and evening meals which she cooks freshly each day. They also sell a variety of chutneys and other goodies which they make themselves. The couple are friendly and kind hosts and nothing seems too much trouble for them. They even offered to take our dog to the beach with their own 2 puppies! Several dog friendly pubs within about 6 or 7 miles.
