We love the coastal location with access onto the Kings Charles lll coastal path and just a stones throw from the pub. Having a private hot tub is a real treat too.. 1 step to entrance.

The Lodge is a welcoming, dog-friendly holiday home set within the grounds of The Sellwood Arms and just yards from the cliff tops in Aldbrough, East Riding of Yorkshire. Comfortably designed it offers open-plan living with deep-filled sofas, a log-burning stove, and a Smart TV—perfect for cosy nights in. The country-style kitchen, complete with gas appliances, flows into a dining area, while French doors lead to an enclosed patio with seating and a private hot tub. With a king-size double bedroom, a twin bunk room, and a modern house shower room, The Lodge makes an ideal base for couples, families, or friends. The surrounding area is perfect for exploration and adventure. With direct access to the King Charles III England Coast Path, walkers can set off straight from the door, while the nearest beach is just 100 metres along the coast. A short drive brings you to Mappleton, or stay local and enjoy Aldbrough’s village store and two friendly pubs. The seaside towns of Hornsea and Withernsea offer all the traditional delights—from amusement arcades and fish and chips to bars, restaurants, and long sandy beaches. Nature lovers can head to Spurn Point Nature Reserve or enjoy birdwatching and watersports at Hornsea Mere, the largest freshwater lake in Yorkshire. Families will enjoy a trip to Hull’s world-famous aquarium, The Deep, while golfers and cyclists will find plenty of opportunities nearby. After a day of coastal adventures, return for a relaxing soak in the hot tub under the stars.

Me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed our stay, such a lovely and comfortable place to stay plenty of room to move about very clean everything you want for self-catering, private outside space which is great if you like your privacy and handy if you've got a pet, unfortunately the hot tub had sprung a leak so couldn't use it unforeseen circumstances, but the owner did put us a credit behind the bar at the pub which was much appreciated, the pub is less than a minute's walk from the lodge a lovely traditional pub very friendly, the area is very quiet and peaceful, with plenty of places to go within a hours drive from where your staying, village is 5 minutes away with local conveniences, overall very happy with your stay 😀

The Lodge really offered a peaceful and tranquil retreat for those wanting to recharge from the everyday grid of modern life. The facilities were perfect and catered for all of our needs.The location was sublime, end of the road literally….with the sea continually resonating a calming reverberation of natures call.A great base for all to explore or for the less enthusiastic just to unwind.We had a lovely week, nice dog walks, great scenery and perfect pub grub.The owners, Helen and Pete couldn't have be more supportive, nothing was too much for them and we thanks them for their support.We will definitely consider paying them a return visit.
