Good furnishings and plenty of space for everyone. Lovely gardens and outlook. Very secluded and private but within easy distance of shops, market and tourist attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed the tranquil setting and the beautiful town of Pocklington. We would hope to return soon.

If your group/party is large, this property has plenty of space. Infact in some rooms the furniture looks small and out of place. The beds are okay, quality bedding and linen. There is plenty of crockery and cutlery. Some of the glassware had to be washed before use! For a large group, the saucepans etc was not adequate. The cooking utensils and knives have seen better days - a wobbly knife blade is dangerous. A range would be better for a large party rather than a four ring hob and separate oven. Living room furniture was okay but lacked back support. No bins in livingrooms or bedrooms! Each room needs a bin. Also chairs in bedrooms - sparcely furnished so lacked comfort. Bathroom facilities/showers need grab rails - chose a single storey property especially for older person who's a bit wobbly! The instructions for heating, water heating and refuse collection could be improved. More generous black bin bags - one is not practicable for a group of this size, and some laundry detergent. Plenty of parking, public footpaths to follow. Lovely views across fields and big skies. Okay overall but needs improvements.
