Loved that we could all eat and socialise in the kitchen diner and also enjoy relaxing time together in the lounge. The hot tub was a bonus particularly liked by grandson and grandma!! Bedrooms were well proportioned, clean and functional.

The hot tub was great but we supplied our own gazebo and for April it was needed. There was no welcome pack so had to ring the number provided to get WiFi code, very responsive when called. Location is quiet but what we wanted, local pub food very good. No local shop, you have to hornsea. We had a lovely weekend.

Beautiful location, great little pub across the way and only a few minutes drive to Tesco to pick up the essentials. We had a nice little walk to the cliffs, despite the weather! Beds were very comfortable and lots of blankets and pillows for everyone for a comfortable stay. Well equipped kitchen (aside from the fridge) and garden was secure for our Labrador. Hot tub was a great touch. Only 2 small niggles really that could be easily rectified for future stays - 1) I had requested to Sykes that there be no feathers in the property as I have a severe allergy but the cushions downstairs were feather (easily rectified as my son doesn’t share my allergy so we hid them under his bed but please take allergies seriously in future as if we hadn’t found them I could have ended up in A&E with severe breathing issues), 2) the fridge is far too small for a property advertised for 8 people. I would definitely recommend Cherry Tree cottage for anyone wanted a bit of an escape
