    Situated on a working arable farm, this detached holiday cottage is perfect for large family gatherings. With a patio, spacious garden and playing field with football posts for sunny afternoons, an open fire for cosy winter evenings, and a large games room with drinks fridge and full-sized snooker table for rainy days, the property is ideal at any time of year. There are numerous walks from the doorstep and an abundance of wildlife, including otters and kingfishers on the nearby river, where fishing is available (own rod licence required). Within 3 miles there is Hainsworth Park golf club and 2 watersports activity centres at Fosse Hill and Billabong. The village of Brandesburton offers a convenient selection of amenities including 2 pubs, a fish and chip restaurant, Chinese takeaway and restaurant, newsagent, butchers and a deli. The coastal resorts of Hornsea, Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough, with their traditional seaside attractions and miles of sandy beaches, are easily accessible. The medieval market town of Beverley, 11 miles, boasts an attractive blend of past and present, with its 13th-century minster and renowned racecourse. There are stately homes at Burton Agnes, Burton Constable and Sewerby Hall, and for birdwatchers, rspb Bempton and Hornsea Mere are not to be missed. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.

    "Brilliant... Until it comes to frying pans.. Please replace the old "Non-stick" pans with new ones. A very small detail, but when Autistic children wont eat "broken" eggs, can cause huge problems. Apart from that, a wonderful stay. Thank you so much Helen Voase"

    "Great centre for exploring area. Good basic local shop and excellent take away shops.Cottage plenty of space and big enclosed garden for kids to play in. Plenty of the basic needs, pots pans etc that are typically lacking in these types of properties.Overall excellent and very quiet. Car needed as you are remote along a length of single track road all helping to keep it quiet."

    "This is a beautiful home and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Baswick Steer. There was ample space for the whole family of seven and the full-size snooker table provided lots of family fun. Beds were most comfortable and the tranquil surroundings meant that we felt very close to nature."

    "Fabulous stay to celebrate a family birthday. The house was well equipped, including baby gates, high chair and travel cot. The location was brilliant for an outdoors weekend, with a short drive to a great pub Dacre Arms. The only negative of the weekend was the beds weren’t the comfiest, but overall a great stay and would recommend as value for money."

    "Lovely house with lots of room inside and out. Ideal for a big family gathering. Lovely walk by the river. Snooker table and football goals made my grandchildrens holiday. The house is quite away from the village, but it only a short drive and there are some lovely eating places. We also had a run to Beverly defiantly worth a visit."

    "Lovely family Xmas break for 8 adults, 2 children & 3 dogs. Plenty of room for all & never once felt crowded. Plenty of seating, very well equipped kitchen, lovely fresh, quality bedding & towels. The location is quite remote but didn't find that a problem at all, had some lovely walks with the dogs. Added bonus of a great games room with extra fridge storage, came in handy for the extra Xmas supplies and drinks. Just a pity we couldn't make use of the lovely garden area due to the weather, must be lovely in the summertime. Great break thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Would highly recommend."
