An electric wood effect fire sets the perfect ambiance for a relaxing evening. Find a selection of books and games for your enjoyment. A country style dining table provides and enjoyable place for family meals. The kitchen is well-equipped and a small breakfast table sits to one side. Owl Cottage provides a ground floor twin room with en-suite facilities. Take the winding staircase to the first floor and find two further bedrooms, a twin room and a double room with Smart TV. Both rooms have sloping ceilings and Velux windows. Across the hall is the house bathroom which has the best views in the cottage! To the front is a private patio area with additional seating. Enjoy an early morning coffee or an al fresco evening meal. A stone built barbecue is ideally located to cook up a storm after a long day exploring.
Owl Cottage is surrounded by open countryside and it’s only a short walk into the pretty village of Flamborough. Here you’ll find a couple of friendly pubs, fish and chip shops, tea rooms and well stocked convenience stores. Take a drive to Flamborough Lighthouse and watch the seals rest at low tide. The Flamborough Heritage Coastline offers miles of walking/cycling opportunities as well as the stunning rspb Bempton Cliffs. Danes Dyke Nature Reserve is also worth a visit. For two sandy beaches, working harbour and Victorian Promenade take a trip down the coast to Bridlington. Burton Agnes Hall, Sledmere House and gardens and Sewerby Hall and garden are close by. The historic city of York is just an hour away and there is a choice of golf courses.

Lovely quiet location on a working farm. I really appreciated the little touches to make our stay comfortable such as the well equipped kitchen, dog towels, and tray for muddy shoes. The only thing I could not figure out was how to connect the EV charger to my EV, it seemed to require a very long cable - which I didn't have. But there are several fast chargers in Bridlington so this was easily done while doing the shopping. I would look forward to another stay.

Owl Cottage for us was just perfect. We wanted to book a break between Christmas and New Year with family and take the dogs. The location was spot on, quite remote on a sheep farm, but just a 10 minute walk to the local pub that accepted dogs, the food there was great! There is another pub, a cafe bar and the the harbour takeaway but we didn't use these. The walks and views are spectacular and we walked up to the lighthouse. The cottage itself is great, really well equipped, clean and welcoming. The extra touches were spot on, like the welcome pack of goodies, the towels for the dogs, tray for mucky boots and lots of other extras like a spare dog lead, and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine if required. As we stayed at Christmas the cottage was decorated with a tree, lights, decorations and festive bedding on every bed, plus festive (branded) handwash and posh Andrex toilet roll. We would have no doubt about staying here again or recommending to anyone wanting a quiet break.
