This detached lodge benefits from wrap-around decking where you can enjoy the rays of sun while you watch your little ones play. Inside, the lodge has been tastefully furnished by the owners who have created a cosy and welcoming holiday home. The club house is just a short stroll away where there is a popular restaurant and bar which can be used by non-members. The bar area leads out onto a veranda with stunning sea views where you can sit and enjoy a meal or drink. The 18-hole cliff top golf course is next to the site and is also available to non-members too (at cost).

The village of Flamborough is to the north and the popular seaside resort of Bridlington to the south. Sewerby Hall is accessed via a path through woodland from the lodges. This stunning Georgian mansion has award-winning gardens and a zoo for the children to visit. The lodge owners supply 4 passes free of charge to guests.

With over 50 acres of parkland, there are plenty of places to enjoy a picnic along the cliff top. Alternatively catch the land train that runs between the hall and Bridlington, and enjoy a day on the sandy beach or a walk along the harbour front. This traditional seaside resort is ideal for families with plenty of bars and restaurants, and the Bridlington Spa Theatre, which is very popular with international acts and shows. Danes Dyke Nature Reserve is a short stroll where there are some wonderful nature and wildlife walks. Paths from here lead to Flamborough Head, originally a small fisherman’s village. The walks along the cliff top are truly spectacular. The rspb bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is just a short drive away. This is a great base from which to explore the East Coast and the Yorkshire Wolds too. Beach 3 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 400 yards.

Please provide your own cot linen for use with the travel cot if required. The wi-fi provided is not full fibre broadband ,we are limited in providers because of the area and relative remoteness from a cabinet and main road. Just returned from a weeks stay in Hygge Lodge and we all had such a lovely time. We were a group of 3 adults and 2 children and the lodge was great for everyone. It is very well equipped meaning we could eat in as well as exploring local restaurants which suited us perfectly. The location is great, we have stayed at Bridlington Links previously but would definitely return to Hygge Lodge. A perfect family holiday!

Lovely Lodge, very comfortable with everything you could need. This was our first time in the area and enjoyed exploring the coastline.

A "hidden" gem? Tucked in between the golf club & Sewerby Hall, with access to both of those and the land train back into/out of Bridlington, and a 'corner' plot as well, this is perfect for both peace and activity. Hosts at Hygge Lodge obviously care a lot. We have holidayed in the area a number of times over the years, but now can stop scratching our heads about where to stay; any future breaks WILL have us back in Heritage Park.
