Fisherman's Friend in Bridlington is praised for its spacious, comfortable accommodation and unbeatable location just steps from the beach. Guests consistently highlight the well-equipped kitchen, cosy beds, and ample parking. The property is dog-friendly and offers a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere, making it ideal for seaside getaways. While some mention areas needing a little TLC and deeper cleaning, most guests enjoy their stay and return regularly. Minor maintenance issues and the absence of welcome packs are noted, but overall, the property provides excellent value and a wonderful base for exploring the coast.

Many guests find the property clean and comfortable, especially early in the season, but several mention a decline in cleanliness over time, with issues such as dog hair, dirty dishes, and the need for a deep clean. The majority still feel the property is pleasant, though improvements are suggested.

The location is universally praised, with guests loving the proximity to the beach, sea views, and easy access to the town centre. The setting is described as ideal for walkers, dog owners, and those seeking a relaxing seaside break.

Guests frequently comment on the spaciousness, comfortable beds, and warm atmosphere. Some mention that the lounge furniture is low for older guests, but overall comfort is a standout feature, with many guests enjoying restful nights and a homely feel.

The property is well-equipped with a large kitchen and good amenities, but several reviews note maintenance issues such as dripping taps, broken fridge shelves, and worn furnishings. Facilities are generally good, but some items need updating or replacing.

A number of guests mention the lack of a welcome pack or basic supplies, which are often expected in similar properties. While some essentials may be left by previous guests, gifts or welcome packs are not guaranteed.

This is our first visit this year of three booked for 2026 and our third year of staying at this well appointed ground floor apartment.Sadly over time the cleanliness has deteriorated, the property would benefit from a deep clean, especially the windows inside and out. The oven requires cleaning although I did clean the trays and freezer needed defrosting. The curtains in the lounge require re hanging and have done so for at least 10 months. Having said the above there are plenty of positives. Comfy beds, clean lining and towels. Breakages do happen but crockery is in short supply for four people when using the dishwasher once a day. There is parking both outside and inside the gated property although inside is a little tight for a big car. Lovely outside seating area with disabled ramp which leads into a large conservatory with seating. Large kitchen with dining table. Family bathroom with separate shower. Laundry and guest toilet room . Two well appointed bed rooms. Brush, mop and bucket available but no hoover. The floors are wood or tiled. Large rug in lounge, two large cream leather sofas which for older people are difficult to get up from. Couple in late 70’s overall we enjoy our stay and return .
