Whilst being close to the town centre it is set in tranquil surroundings to enjoy at any time of the year. Be immediately welcomed into a living/dining room sure to appease history buffs; exposed stone feature walls, an inglenook fireplace, and furnished with plush cushioned seats to set up supper on the coffee table and watch TV, while the gas fire warms you up. Just next door, the kitchen is a delight to cook in with an electric oven, microwave, and fridge with an ice box, whilst the stairs lead up to the first floor. The first floor also hosts a king-size bedroom finished with original pine floors, unique pine furniture, and views across this gorgeous hilltop town, whilst climbing the stairs again brings you to the second-floor bedroom. This snug twin room has sloped ceilings, exposed beams, and Velux windows looking across the town, and can be king-size on request. From the first floor, access the multi-level, raised decking area that is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee. Hebden Bridge is a vibrant and charming market town in the heart of the Pennines, well known for its independent spirit and lively cultural scene, with a great selection of restaurants, bars and arts venues. The town is surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in England, and is a popular destination for walkers and cyclists. There are also plenty of opportunities for outdoor pursuits, with fishing, golf and horse riding all available nearby! Hebden Bridge is well connected, with a mainline railway station and easy access to the motorway network. The National Trust's Hardcastle Crags is just on the outskirts, a scenic wooded valley with a visitors centre in a 19th-century mill, and further afield lies the village of Haworth. A delight for literary fans, you'll be in the heart of Brontë Country where the Brontë Parsonage Museum, the Wuthering Heights pub, and the picturesque Brontë Waterfall have something for everyone. Further afield lies the market town of Halifax with the timber-framed Shibden Hall, Holmfirth close to the Peak District, and Skipton on your way into the Yorkshire Dales National Park. However you spend your staycation, you'll love returning to Meg's Den, a historic cottage in Yorkshire.

The gorgeous Rochdale Canal and a delightful Victorian railway station may be found in the charming tPennine town of Hebden Bridge, located within the Calderdale district. This wonderful site is also the first 'Walkers are Welcome' town in the UK, a scheme endorsed by the Ramblers' Association, with the National Trust-owned Hardcastle Crags and the Pennine Way near by. Alternatively, picturesque driving and fantastic cycling may be enjoyed right outside your door.

In fact I parked my car (in a rare free spot!) after unloading it and didn’t touch it again until it was time to load up to leave! I used a bus once but otherwise walked daily. The cottage is very homely and a tad quirky and I hope to return. Love the fireplaces and the 1st floor bed was very comfortable (2nd floor bed not used so can’t comment on that one). The owner was great with communication too which is always comforting. A great experience overall

Good location for HB town. Good for a dog, too - it’s easy to do short or longer walks - amazing views. Quiet location, interesting, good for independent shops … excellent Market Sun & Thurs Lots of options for socialising - pubs, cafes etc - seek out the slightly wacky - can be fun! Very friendly natives, which we expected as one of us is ‘from’ near HB!
