Welcome to Ploughcroft Cottage offering 4 star Silver Award-winning bed and breakfast accommodation in a semi-rural setting just outside Halifax in West Yorkshire. The cottage dates back to the 18th century and has been lovingly restored to offer comfortable B&B rooms just a short drive from Halifax town. The property enjoys stunning panoramic views over the town and surrounding countryside making Ploughcroft the ideal retreat. Whether you join us on business or for a a relaxing break, your friendly hosts will be on hand to make your stay a memorable one.

We have 2 double, 1 twin and 1 single bedroom available, each with an ensuite shower room with WC and handbasin, central heating, hospitality tray and freeview TV. A desk and free high speed fibre optic wireless broadband is also provided for your convenience.

Breakfast

Wake up to a delicious home cooked hearty Yorkshire breakfast. Breakfast is served in our pretty Mediterranean style Garden Room.

Around and About

Halifax is just a 5 minute drive away and boasts a great selection of attractions including the impressive Piece Hall and the 600 year old Shibden Hall. The area is perfect for outdoor lovers with a great selection of walks within easy reach. Nearby is Hebden Bridge which is a pretty town with a great choice of restaurants, Heptonstall which has an 11th century church ruin and Haworth village, former home of the Brontes. 

Directions

We're very easy to find. Just take the A647 Halifax to Queensbury Road via Boothtown.

After 1 mile take a right turn onto Ploughcroft Lane.

Ploughcroft Cottage is located at the crossroads just at the top of the lane.

We overlook the Sportsman Inn and the Leisure/ Ski Centre, and we are the only house at the top of the hill - with a little red post box on the wall (formerly the village shop).

If in any doubt - just ask for directions to Halifax's Dry Ski Slope at Ploughcroft.
