Excellent in every respect.Arrived in grim wet weather; opening the door and walking in to a lovely warm cottage with Classic FM playing in the background was simply heaven. Extremely well appointed, cleaned and maintained to the highest standards. We immediately felt at home. As the rain lashed down the woodburning stove was lit (even that was already set and only needed a match) and the cottage was like a cosy cocoon. The hamper was a very thoughtful & welcome touch. The grounds are delightful and equally well maintained. Good, reliable, wi-fi. Hoping the weather might improve we set off for a walk from Broadway next morning, but the weather closed in again and the phrase "put another log on the fire" came to mean a return to the cottage and a relaxing afternoon! The local pub does take-away fish and chips on Wednesday evenings-very well worth it. Cooked to order in minutes, but beware, portions are huge! The next day, more heavy rain, so a longer drive to see some of the flooding and have a walk around Burford. By the time we returned the sun had come out and it was great to see the cottage with the sun shining on it, giving an inkling of what it would be like in nice weather. At this point we did walk up Bredon Hill; very worthwhile…but the thick mud made it very hard work. Met some of the locals who were very pleasant and filled us in on the background to the village. Rather than go to the pub in the evening we found the deli in Pershore from where some of the hamper had been stocked and bought the ingredients for dinner from their extensive and high quality range. Highly recommended. A pity there was no microwave, but by accident I found the DVD player, and a centrally heated toilet only accessible from the garden! There is no doubt that the owners care passionately about the cottage and its visitors; we would not hesitate to book gain.
