About this property

As featured in the Tripadvisor Top Ten Worcestershire Holiday Lets 2024, The Well House is a beautiful, romantic one-bedroom property with a unique focal point – a 40-foot Well with a glass top features as a stunning, showcase dining table. The property is situated off a private drive located in unspoiled countryside.

The Well House is a romantic, unique and cosy retreat for two, located at the end of a private drive and situated in rolling, unspoilt countryside. The owners have kept much of the property's period details to offer a holiday home that’s unlike any other. The 40-foot-deep Well with its glass top is a fascinating central feature that doubles up as the dining table with lights, illuminating the very depths of the Well. There’s also a cosy wood-burning stove set in an original brick fireplace and plenty of original exposed timbers and brickwork. Full height windows let the light flood in and ancient, fortified doors open out to your own outside space with garden furniture and a charcoal barbecue.

The cottage is set on a four acre estate and guests have access to an orchard with pear, apple and olive trees. There are plenty of walks a short distance from The Well House, including the famous Monarch’s Way footpath that approximates Charles II’s escape route following the Battle of Worcester.

The owners can organise a private chef for that extra special occasion; and guests can also enjoy pre-booked beauty treatments including luxurious facials and back massages using the Tropic skincare range at the on-site Wellness Suite, along with wellness sessions such as yoga and breath work (booking ahead essential).

Additional Information:

The grounds are shared with two other properties, Crossbrook Farm (sleeps four) and The Chapel (sleeps two) which can be booked individually or together for the potential of sleeping eight guests.

The driveway to The Well House features a stream which runs alongside the access drive and runs into a culvert.

Please be aware, the Well is not designed to accommodate the load of a person, therefore under no circumstances are guests to stand on or place heavy items on the well cover.

Within walking distance of pubs and restaurants.

Private chef by prior arrangement.

Beauty treatments and wellness sessions including yoga are available at the on-site Wellness Suite (booking ahead essential).

Please note that due to the property being located in close proximity to a Horse Livery, fireworks are not permitted at any time.

Sorry, no group parties (including Hen or Stag). Please advise if your stay is for a special occasion and the owners will endeavour to provide assistance.

Due to the proximity of the other two premises and the rural nature of the Estate, we would ask for consideration to be given to other guests during their stay.

Vicki and Stuart were great hosts and made so many little touches to really make this an extra special getaway for us! The Well House is situated in gorgeous peaceful countryside and allowed us to truly relax while we were there. The hot tub and wood fire were great, and all of their food suggestions were top notch. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cosy and relaxing getaway for 2 - thank you for a wonderful stay!
