Great spot in middle of Iron Bridge itself. Unfortunately all museums except Victorian Town was closed for immediate future. ( something we think was about National Trust taking over) though little info anywhere. The maps for the local area need looking at especially the ones for woodland walking etc and more signs needed on the walks and more info about problems. We set out for the Rotunda and found the steps and walk gad had a landslide and no information until well up the Paradise walk . Diversion was up a steep slope and back on yourself. Not good for an elderly walker. Other than really enjoyed finding, paths and gunnels galore and the fabulous church in Iron bridge. Great walks on the flat but if you like inclined walks and trails excellent. Good for eating out and variety of pubs/restaurants. Most places dog friendly but it would help if a list was available. People are brilliant in the variety of establishments. Right the property itself was sweet and quirky but it needs some TLC . Sofas etc are a bit tired as are dining chairs and the very squeaky beds- although the linens and towels were second to no s. The stairs are not really suitable for anyone with walking difficulties or balance it needs some sort of inner hand rail. It was warm but the bathroom definitely needs a fan as paint and mould is weathering the facilities.ie paint peeling off. The light on the top of stairs is temperamental and keeps shorting . We had to go upstairs switch it on come back down and alter brightness. Bedside light would help in second bedroom ., although there is a lamp you have to switch it off before getting into bed .Light outside can’t working we arrived late and had to hang over handrail with torch to open key box- I think it’s the bulb that needs replacing - as did the battery in the smoke detector in hall. ( There’s only so much of a beep you can take) !.We couldn’t work out where the lights would switch on over the sink and cooker for safety if cooking. It's a very old building but it looks like some areas need refinishing especially the walls which needs plastering over very rough areas and dampness on walls in certain areas esp in back bedroom . And no adhesion of wallpaper which spoils the whole feel of the antiquity. Plus windows need looking at as there is no secondary glazing meaning traffic at 5-30 am is very noticeable.Getting in and out of Iron Bridge is a nightmare re the signage. Cleanliness of village is spot on . But we had a great week weather wise ( microclimate ). And price of property was very reasonable. And some white goods were very handy very new . My children came for a long weekend and they loved it as above.

Great little place to stay.Would go back, local people are friendly.Very relaxing stress Hot tap in kitchen leaks a little when on.Could do with an extractor fan in bathroom . Both of these jobs would benefit the owner to have done.
