The Old Stables was a good venue for a 3 generation family New Year celebration.

This was our second visit to the Old Stables, sadly we did not enjoy this visit as much as our first visit 2 years ago.Unfortunately upon our arrival we were informed the main fridge (big american fridge/freezer) was not working due to a build up of ice, the freezer was still working. The owner had placed small domestic fridge in the laundry room and also provided a large Yeti cool box, not ideal, but we made it work. The downside was the alcohol for our girly weekend had to sit outside to keep cool and it rained each night!!There was a lack of toilet roll, half a roll in each toilet, so remember to take toilet roll with you!The biggest problem we had was the lack of internet/wifi connection, this had not been an issue for us 2 years ago, but there was a significant decline as well as no mobile phone service due to the location. We asked if there was any way to boost the internet/wifi, but were told this was not possible. So, to advise future guests there is wifi in the games room which stretches into the main lounge, but there is no wifi anywhere else in the house.Whilst there was sufficient cutlery and crockery not much of it matched, nor did the glasses, although there was an abundance of them.
