We were inconvenienced by the fact the WiFi hardly worked at all during our stay, however this was as a consequence of Storm Daragh, and the engineers had not yet been to fix it.Our hosts were very apologetic about this, and it was something we accepted as being unavoidable.Their 2 dogs were very friendly and we loved seeing their Shire horses. One thing we think should be mentioned is the fact that the stairs are tricky to negotiate especially when trying to take a case upstairs,we feel it is something that someone not very mobile should be made aware of.

It is quite well furnished and equipped along these lines, but we unluckily hit a particularly cold and snowy period, which rather stretched the heating capacity. There were ample logs and kindling however, and the log burner was very useful. Coal was made available, and this was much appreciated. The owners, who live next door were very pleasant and attentive. Jess, the border collie, is lovely, and the geese are amusing. We travelled around quite a bit, and the area and the villages are very pretty. It would certainly look even more beautiful in the summer season, with rolling hills and shire horses in the field alongside the cottage. There are also quite a few National Trust properties close by to visit. Great Sunday Lunch at the Black Swan in Henley in Arden! But be sure to book in advance. Family matters caused an early departure, which was a shame.

Denise was present on our arrival and departure, very friendly and approachable. Jess and Fan, farm Border Collies, very happy to play with our dogs. Lovely view across small valley with field of Shire horses. Local walks on nearby public footpaths, past fields of sheep.. Happy to recommend, easy access to both Warwickshire countryside and Birmingham. Thank you.
