Henley-in-Arden boasts one of the most unspoilt high streets in the country, which contains over 150 buildings listed as being of Special or Historic Interest. The town has its own Heritage Centre, itself dating back to the 12th century, many restaurants, traditional pubs and individual shops, as well as many sports facilities including golf courses, tennis courts and fishing. Just a short drive away is the birthplace of Sir William Shakespeare, Stratford-upon-Avon, which is steeped in history and culture and lies on the banks of the River Severn. Experience Olde England by visiting Shakespeare's birthplace and many other houses connected to his family, which are open all year round and boast 16th Century furnishings and landscaped grounds and gardens.
