Alternatively, hop on a train to the local market town of Church Stretton, where you can access many scenic walking trails like Carding Mill Valley and The Long Mynd. Ludlow and Much Wenlock are slightly further afield, offering plenty of things to see and do, home to its own castle, church and market, plus you can access Mortimer Forest for a lovely day of ambling. There are also direct routes to M54 leading to Telford and the M6 to the mid welsh borders. Meadow House is a comfortable base for a memorable Shropshire holiday, all year round.

Resting in the heart of scenic Shropshire, the market town of Shrewsbury has always been a popular choice for holidaymakers. As one of England’’s finest heritage towns there are a number of listed buildings including the 11th-century Abbey and Castle, home to a special collection of pictures, weapons and memorabilia from the 1700s.
