Within walking distance you'll also arrive at the stunning hills of Carding Mill Valley and the Long Mynd, The Lawley, a popular walking trail within the reserve, and Rectory Wood, carrying over 10 hectares of fields and woodland terrain. For further exploring jump on the train just a mile away from the property where you can reach the likes of Ludlow, where you can embrace your tranquil setting at Whitcliffe Common Nature Reserve, encircle River Teme upon Dinham Bridge, or perhaps tour Ludlow Castle, a grand, medieval fortress with a luscious backdrop. Shrewsbury is also a must-visit town, where you can enjoy a guided tour around Shrewsbury Prison and its 18th-century cells, along with Shrewsbury Castle, perfect for historian buffs, whilst The Quarry is a picturesque English garden, enveloping the river with manicured footpaths and blooms. Visit Shropshire with 24 Churchill Road as your base.

In the centre of south Shropshire is the charming market town of Church Stretton. It is surrounded by stunning scenery and is frequently referred to as "Little Switzerland." The town, which has a variety of tea houses, taverns, and specialty stores, serves as the major hub for Shropshire's hill country. Long Mynd treks, the Acton Scott Historic Working Farm, and Stokesay Castle are a few further nearby attractions. There is a well-purposed kitchen, a dining area and a comfortable, spacious lounge which looks over a pretty garden and the park beyond. The bedrooms provide a relaxing space although the decor and bedding could be updated. There is ample parking. The location is fabulous, with views all around and the Long Mynd, Caer Caradoc and other fine walks on the doorstep. We loved the pubs and cafes, all being a short stroll away in the town and surrounding 'Stretton' villages.
