Other guests might want to bring extra cutlery and crockery as the kitchen is fairly minimally equipped and there is no entertainment such as a DVD player or selection of films. The big issue for us was that we had a problem with the bed arrangement (it said sleeps four, but the single beds were childrenâs beds so not at all suitable for adults), and Sykes were not in the least bit interested and made no attempt to understand our complaint, or to take any action. We have booked through them several times, so clearly no loyalty points either. We will certainly be avoiding them in the future because of their attitude and lack of customer service. Fine when everything is OK, but beware when things go wrong!

we managed how to work out how to operate it although some would perhaps struggle. The only other problem was there was not a sharp knife in the kitchen making it difficult to cut anything like veg etc.

It has a beautiful and well-maintained garden with plenty of birds (even in the Winter!). We felt very private and comfortable throughout our stay and would definitely return in the future. The owner was very kind and willing to help if anything needed and at the same time very respectful about giving us total privacy, which we very much appreciated.
