The cottage is ideal for a romantic break in an isolated location yet close to the village and handy for walking through the surrounding countryside. From the front door there is a bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC, before opening up to a well-equipped kitchen with a small breakfast bar and a dining table. The lovely sitting room has comfortable seating and enjoys lovely views over the countryside and watching the sheep in the field which belongs to the owner. A cosy double bedroom with TV completes the accommodation. Outside there is a private enclosed garden and patio where you can relax with a refreshing drink whilst enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside. The picturesque village of Cardington is a joy to behold with several timber-framed barns, and stone cottages, some dating to before 1600. The local pub is one of the oldest in Shropshire dating back to 1651.The cottage is perfectly placed for exploring south Shropshire with its Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, pretty villages and historic towns. There are also many walking and cycling trails within the area. Further afield, the towns of Much Wenlock, Ironbridge, Ludlow and Shrewsbury are all waiting to be discovered. A visit to Bridgnorth is also a must as it is set in a lovely riverside location and many pubs serve locally-brewed beers. Whatever you decide to do, this delightful cottage is the perfect base for everyone to enjoy this lovely part of Shropshire.
