This is a large house on a farm let out by a friendly couple. A great place for our large family of 10 and 2 dogs. As a walking family it was a great location with plenty of walks from the doorstep (though not all were well trodden). Not being near local amenities was fine for us but may not suit others. There was plenty of seating to accommodate everyone both at the table and in the lounge.A downside to the property was that it did look a bit tired, and could use some tidying of the garden. However with two dogs we were pleased to find it was fully enclosed and needn't worry about letting the dogs off or out at night.

We stayed at Foxcote during the Easter break as a family trip of four adults and five children and had a wonderful stay. Such a lovely property with so much room and character. The living room and kitchen/dining room are both particularly well sized to cater for larger groups. We were able to access Netflix and Prime on the TV too which is always good for the evenings. It's very well located just a few minutes off the dual carriageway but also secluded enough to feel like you're getting away from it all. The working farm filled with sheep and cows is so nice to be around too. The larger towns and shops are within a 10/15 minute drive, so many walks close to the property or within a few minutes drive too. Had some nice conversations with the owners too who were very helpful in recommending things to do in the local area. The Crosskeys pub is only a mile walk down the lane too. Would highly recommended this property to anyone looking to stay.

A week's family (3 generations) holiday at this property on a working farm was a new experience, overall very positive & thoroughly enjoyable and delightful during the busy lambing season. May seem a little remote away from many amenities but that is a big part of its charm
