Afterwards, you can wander along the River Severn or spot the local wildlife in the Uckinghall Quarry Nature Reserve. For a wider selection of amenities, head over to Twyning, where you will find a well-stocked convenience store, along with the delightful pubs of The Village Inn and The Fleet Inn which rests along the River Avon, and the Showborough House Sculpture Garden. Continue onto Tewkesbury, where you will find the popular attractions of Tewkesbury Abbey, Tewkesbury Museum, the Tewkesbury Heritage and Visitor Centre, and the annual Tewkesbury Medieval Festival which takes place in May where you can watch a re-enactment of the Wars of the Roses. Next stop is Cheltenham, well-known for its annual races, along with its plethora of pubs, restaurants, shops, and Jet Age Museum, where you can expect vintage planes and cockpit tours. For scenic walking and cycling trails, head into the Cotswolds AONB, where you can embark on the famous Cotswolds Way, spanning for 102-miles from Chipping Campden all the way to Bath Abbey. Within the AONB, you will find the National Trust sites of Chedworth Roman Villa and Lodge Park and Sherborne Estate, as well as the Great Witcombe Roman Villa and Cotswold Farm Park. For a luxury getaway to the Cotswolds, secure your stay at Annex.

The lovely village of Twyning, on the outskirts of Twekesbury, is nestled between the Malvern Hills and the Cotswolds, both Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Hillview Lakes, a superb fishing area, and three traditional pubs, each serving hearty home-cooked meals and refreshing local ales, are all within walking distance of the town centre. Twyning Park, a Grade II listed country house, is a popular wedding and event site in the village, which is located on the banks of the River Avon.

If you're looking for a place to go shopping or eat, the city of Cheltenham is a great choice because it's close to the country's largest racecourse, where the annual Cheltenham Festival takes place. An interesting historical town nearby called Gloucester has a stunning 11th-century cathedral housing King Edward II's burial and a former prison now used for tours and events like ghost hunting.
