Snaptrip says

Finwood Cottage 1 in Warwickshire is highly praised for its peaceful location, cleanliness, and welcoming hosts. Guests appreciate the added luxury of an indoor swimming pool and the proximity to local attractions. The cottage is well-equipped, comfortable, and ideal for both relaxing retreats and exploring the surrounding areas. While most feedback is positive, a few guests noted minor issues with Wi-Fi and maintenance.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests frequently noting it as clean and well-maintained. Only one review mentioned a need for tidying outside, but this seems an isolated comment.

The location is consistently praised for its tranquility, easy access to local attractions, and proximity to countryside walks and pubs. The presence of the M40 nearby does not seem to detract from the peaceful setting.

Comfort is a strong point, with guests finding the cottage well-equipped and cosy. Suggestions for additional seating and a comment on the bathroom door indicate room for improvement, but overall satisfaction is high.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the swimming pool and gym. However, some guests reported minor issues with Wi-Fi and appliances, which suggests that while facilities are good, there is some need for attention to maintenance.

Guests often mention the thoughtfulness of the hosts, including welcome packs and gifts. While these are appreciated, it is important to note that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed.

The ancient village of Rowington lies in unspoilt Warwickshire countryside and offers many lovely walks including the Heart of England Way. The Grand Union Canal is close by as is the village country pub and restaurant which serves home-cooked food and real ales. The village boasts Rowington Manor, once owned by Catherine Parr and Shakespeare Hall, where it is said Shakepeare's family lived when he wrote 'As you like it'. There are two National Trust properties close to Rowington, Baddesley Clinton and Packwood House, with Wroxall Abbey, another fine house and the country seat of Sir Christopher Wren also near by. Close by, Lapworth Village is strongly associated with the Gunpowder Plot of 1605, as the leader of the plotters, Robert Catesby, was born and lived here, and his tomb is in Lapworth Church. Henley-in-Arden boasts one of the most unspoilt high streets in the country, which contains over 150 buildings listed as being of Special or Historic interest. The town has its own Heritage Centre, itself dating back to the 12th century, with many restaurants, traditional pubs and individual shops, as well as a selection of sports facilities including golf courses, tennis courts and fishing.

The cottage was one of the nicest and warmest we have stayed in and the hosts were friendly and helpful when needed. Having a washing machine and dryer was an added bonus which we really appreciated as we are from Australia and are travelling around the UK for 13 weeks.
