What our customers say about their holidays

    • Susan Margaret - Verified booking

We were 3 elderly couples and found the house very comfortable and warm, despite the the very cold weather.

Three super easy access bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable, although the sheet and mattress cover on the king size bed wouldn’t stay on - I think they were not deep enough for the very deep mattress. Also, the small bedroom provided quite a challenge for an elderly person, getting in and out of bed with the sloping ceiling coming right down over the far side of the bed. Downstairs worked very well for us. We all ate in the kitchen fitting quite snugly round the table, which meant, on an evening we could use the table in the lounge for things like a jigsaw puzzle and still all be together in one room, while others were watching tv etc. - nice and sociable. We did have a bit of a problem with parking on 2 occasions, as when we returned from a trip out with our 2 cars, we found there was another car parked right in the middle of the parking space, which meant we couldn’t even fit 1 car in the space. Whoever it was, didn’t stay too long , then we had to move our cars back into our space. Talking to the lovely Irish lady next door, we understood that the parking arrangements in Bridge End are just on a gentleman’s agreement basis, but luckily, we weren’t too inconvenienced. The garden is lovely and in warmer weather we would have spent some time out there in the sunshine. The location of the property is lovely, so peaceful and friendly and the walk into town was easy, if a bit noisy with traffic! The town itself was very interesting with lots of interesting history. The restaurants were plentiful and there were some interesting shops. The local area had lots of places to visit for all tastes. I would certainly recommend number 67 to my friends and family. Please feel free to choose whether you publish any of my comments. The positives far outweigh the others, so please be as selective as you wish.

We have had a lovely week in Treacle cottage.

Very comfortable and everything you need for a relaxing break. If you want to eat in the kitchen is well equipped and with a pub next door and a village shop a few doors down you have every option to do as much or as little as you want. The bed and en-suite were both great and comfortable and having the downstairs loo was a bonus too. Lovely spacious kitchen and cosy lounge. Doug and Nicki made sure we had all the information we needed and were both very friendly. The village is very special but we enjoyed walking to the windmill one evening and went to Stratford and many of the Cotswold villages. Safari park was good and so well looked after. We also loved Shipston on Stour , a lovely village with the bonus of free parking. Lots of good information at the cottage too. We would definitely love to visit again. Thank you Doug and Nicki.

This was a delightful house, booked for a reunion for my mother-in-law and her sisters who live in South Africa/the Netherlands, and they had a wonderful time.

The welcome pack and card were much appreciated, and details of local taxi phone numbers was very helpful, meaning they could enjoy a trip round the supermarket as they didn't have a vehicle. The property is very nicely furnished and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. A slight word of warning for anyone who is less steady on their feet - there are small steps between some of the bedrooms and their ensuites. Not a huge problem, just something to be aware of if you need to visit the bathroom at night! My apologies to the owners/cleaners that the dishwasher was left running on departure day rather than unloaded - I wasn't aware they'd done this until we were several miles away! Many thanks for providing a comfy and homely space for some elderly ladies to spend time together after many years apart.

Recently returned from a wonderful four night stay at 67 Bridge End and would thoroughly recommend.

The cottage was stunning, extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped. It has a lovely homely feel to it and we arrived to a welcome gift of flowers, wine and chocolates. We had one minor issue with the heating not coming on when we first arrived but Sally was very quick to respond and helpful when I contacted her and it was quickly resolved. Location wise the cottage is in a gorgeous neighbourhood which is within walking distance of the town and the fantastic St Nicholas’ Park which was perfect for our toddler. Warwick has some lovely restaurants and we ate out at The Globe and Dough & Brew and got takeaway from Art House Cafe and Massala Knights, all of which we would recommend. In summary, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future.

An absolutely beautiful and very spacious cottage.

Superbly placed for visiting lovely places nearby. Well equipped, although it took a while to get used to the induction hob! A very welcome gift of wine, flowers and other goodies awaited us. My husband was very happy with Sky Sports! Please don’t let the minus points deter you. Downside - The previous occupants didn’t seem to have put out the bin or recycled waste bags for collection as we spent ages reorganising to make room for our rubbish- lots was dumped unsorted into the household waste, which was totally full. Quite a performance to put out the bins/bags with doors and gates to unlock. Patio area a bit overgrown and messy. Garden not suitable for small children to run about in.
