While some guests mention steep stairs and the need for maintenance, the overall sentiment is positive, with many looking forward to returning.
The majority of guests found the cottage to be very clean, with well-maintained interiors and comfortable furnishings. However, a few guests noted issues with floor cleanliness and outdoor tidiness, slightly affecting the overall impression.
The cottage's location is highly praised for being quiet yet central, within walking distance to Torquay's harbour, amenities, and beauty spots. The proximity to a restaurant and the lack of views were minor concerns for some.
Guests generally found the cottage to be comfortable, particularly highlighting the quality of the beds. Some concerns were raised about the steepness of the stairs and the comfort of the living room seating, which could be an issue for guests with mobility challenges.
While the reviews mention various aspects of the property, there is insufficient information to accurately assess the overall state of facilities and maintenance. Some guests noted the need for TLC and mentioned specific items requiring attention, but without more detail, a fair score cannot be provided.
The owner's thoughtfulness is frequently mentioned, with guests appreciating the welcome gifts of prosecco, fudge, and other items. It is noted, however, that such gestures, while delightful, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The cottage has everything needed, especially when itâs an extended stay and making meals is important. The bed was comfortable and I slept perfectly for 2 weeks. Everything was super clean too! Most important to note though, I have never had such amazing contact from a property owner. Peter, thank you for such wonderful communication in the lead up and during my stay. For this alone, I look forward to coming back in 2025 and would highly recommend Blue Harbour Cottage for a Torquay stay.

Steps to cottage were steep so would consider this if mobility is a issue. Communication was great with owner.
