With local views across the Blyth estuary and close to the ever popular town of Southwold, Hogsnorting Villa is the perfect base to explore the Suffolk countryside and coast.
There is a lovely pub and restaurant just 150 metres from the cottage and boasts stunning views of the mere from its large garden. Pop across the road to see the famous carved angels on the ceiling of Holy Trinity Church, the Cathedral of the Marshes.
Explore the area on foot via the network of footpaths. From the rear of the pub take the footpath alongside the estuary that follows the old railway line, through a nature reserve, to the beach at Warblerswick. Or head inland from the recreated Blythburgh station to Wenhaston and beyond.
The delights of Southwold, rspb Minsmere, Dunwich Heath, Thorpeness and Aldeburgh are just a short drive away, as are Valley Farm Vineyards at Wisset and the cheese room at Friday Street farm shop near Farnham is a must.

Lovely little cottage, just a note there are beams and low door frames so we did spend a lot of the week ducking as we are both tall people! Well equipped and very clean. Lovely enclosed garden pleasant to sit with a morning coffee. Pub 5 minutes walk away, it’s does good pub grub best to book as they do get busy. Lots to do within 20 minutes drive of the cottage.

We had a lovely relaxing stay at Hogsnorting Villa over Easter. If you want to explore the beautiful county of Suffolk, particularly the coastline, then this is a great base. Great walks on your doorstep, a good local with a delicious Hake dish, and a competitive priced ‘burger night’ just down the road and proximity to the A12 for days out. The villa is comfortable, cute and very chilled! The garden is a lovely spot that our dog enjoyed sunbathing in! The kitchen is well set out, stocked and in good condition - with loads of storage too. My husband is tall, so there was some ‘ducking’ to be done, but it’s all part of the charm! The welcome back was thoughtful and got demolished pretty quickly! Great hosts who were communicative, helpful and prompt. After a testing few weeks this was just what the doctor ordered!

We had a lovely week in the Villa, it was lovely and cosy and perfect for us and our two dogs. We had a couple of lovely meals in the White Hart and enjoyed the tearoom at Walberswick.
