Snaptrip says

The Cross Wing at High Ash Farm offers a cosy and well-equipped stay, with a charming lounge and log fire ideal for winter, and a garden suitable for summer. Guests appreciate its quirky character and peaceful, rural setting, despite proximity to a busy road. Some minor issues were reported, but management was responsive to maintenance needs.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Generally clean, but there was an incident with blue bottle flies and an untraceable odour in the kitchen, which suggests a temporary lapse in cleanliness.

The cottage is well-situated in a quiet, peaceful location surrounded by fields, though close to a busy road. It's also conveniently located for visiting the coast and countryside.

The property is described as cosy and quirky, with a comfortable lounge and a well-thought-out garden. However, the low door frame was a minor discomfort for one guest.

Facilities are generally praised, including a well-equipped kitchen and a Nespresso machine. However, the lack of a washing machine and a broom was noted, and there was an issue with hot water on one occasion.

While the reviews reflect a responsive management team and a well-equipped property, there is no mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

Such a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Unfortunately when we arrived the cottage was inundated with blue bottle flies. We could not get rid of them, and could not work out where they were coming from. There was quite a bad smell in the kitchen, again we couldn’t locate where from. We had to go out buy fly spray and air freshener specially. The fly situation probably went on for about 3-4 days each time we went out and came back there would be another load of flies? Eventually we managed to get rid completely, but we could never quite eradicate the bad odour in the kitchen…. Apart from the above we had a nice stay, it was a bit annoying there was no washing machine or brush. Other facilities were very good.

We all loved its quirkiness & the fabulously wonky upstairs floors. A good & honest description of the property was given..its proximity to the road & the steep stairs! Honestly would not change a thing. Thankyou
