In the glorious setting of the Cotswold Hills, this beautifully converted old stables makes an ideal base for exploring a myriad of fascinating attractions including the elegant city of Bath, 20 miles, Westonbirt Arboretum and the antique shops of Tetbury. Adjoining the owners’ home, it sits on their working farm in the attractive village of Sherston just 0.25 miles from shops and inns serving food and 5 miles from Malmesbury’s good shops, gardens and abbey. Cotswold Water Park is within easy reach and Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold, Burford, Bibury and Oxford are all well worth a visit as are Lacock Abbey and Dyrham Park (NT). Swindon’s famous railway museum and outlet shopping are 20 miles.

Honestly can’t recommend this place enough and the photos do not do it justice! As you’ll find out when you stay and read the guest book yourself.Location is ideal if you’re visiting the Southern Cotswolds area. We went to Bath, Lacock and Bourton-on-the-water which are all within a 20-30 min drive. We’d planned to go to Diddly Squat Farm too but Bourton kept us busy far longer than we expected!The Rattlebone pub is superb and their signature burger is something else, if you stay here make sure you spend an evening here. You will not be disappointed…I know this review sounds like I own the place but we’ve paid far more for a lot less and folk are always quicker to criticise before they compliment so credit were credit is due!

Comfortable cottage in a very good location for visiting lots of interesting places. Local village is delightful with a good pub co op and cafe.
