Internally, the apartment retains many original features and windows and has been refurbished to a high contemporary standard including solid wood flooring in the living area and ceramic tiles in the kitchen and bathroom with fitted carpet on the stairs and upstairs. Added touches such as antique style lighting in most rooms help to preserve the original style of property.
The property is in a peaceful location yet offers easy access to Torquay Harbour, with its restaurants, cafés and shops, the Princess Theatre, and the popular Fleet Walk Shopping Centre. You will find numerous restaurants and bars on Torwood Street and around the inner harbour is just a 1-minute walk away on Parkhill Road. Living Coasts, Torquays coastal zoo, is also just a 2-minute walk away.
The beaches at Torre Abbey Sands and Meadfoot are both within walking distance, as is the Torquay stretch of the South West Coastal Path, which leads to Shaldon. Other nearby attractions are Babbacombe Model Village, Kents Cavern and Bygones.

Just arrived back from our stay. Just loved the holiday home. Everything with just perfect from the welcome package of milk, coffee, tea and biscuits to the cleanliness of the home. We will be booking again

Lovely cottage in a good location. Quick (steep) walk down to the edge of harbour and restaurants. 10 minute walk in the opposite direction to Meadfoot Beach where there is a lovely cafe. Walk on from there to Babbacombe over the cliffs.Comfortable bed and everything you need.

Enjoyable homely stay at 5 Torwood Gables, we went as a couple with one dog, we would definitely holiday here again. Unique property, quiet location, parking, dog friendly, outside seating with small table, minutes from harbour and amenities. Property included everything for a self catering holiday. Extra touches which included amongst other items, complimentary milk, tea, coffee, bath products, washing up liquid, towels and fresh flowers which were all positive. Property manager, Mark, was friendly and helpful and quite easily accessible via phone or email if needed. The only negatives we personally found were there were areas where more attention to detail in cleaning were needed and consideration of accessibility to a mattress topper for people who need a softer mattress which would have taken rating to 5 stars.
