Did have to put heating on as it turned a bit chilly and did not automatically come on when temperature dropped. Could not find instruction manual for washing machine and disappointed there wasn’t an iron and ironing board as clothes were a bit creased when we unpacked our clothes. On the whole we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to friends and family.

I would say it’s very well suited to a young family - there was a high chair and stair gate available and the pull out bed and bunk beds in the upstairs bedroom allowed for lots of different sleep arrangements. The open plan living area is on the small side but we spent most of our time on the beach so suited us perfectly as a place to chill in the evenings. The utility space is useful for sandy beach stuff. Kent’s caverns are only a short walk away too and they were a huge hit with our 6 year old and 3 year old!

The accommodation is modern, clean and well equipped. It’s a stone throw away from the high street which has a lovely pub, independent shops, cafes and Italian restaurant plus a co-op. The host provided us with a recommendation for Sunday roast which did not disappoint and were quick to respond to our emails. We’d highly recommend Anstey’s Cove for wild swimming if that’s your thing. If not it’s a super cute beach well worth the steep 10 minute walk down (and back). Great cafe there too that does breakfasts lunches and cold beer and ciders
